Launch Youth is a space designed to help students 6th thru 12th grade start or set in motion (LAUNCH) their faith, their character and their relationships while deepening a sense of belonging to a loving Father.
In a culture that is filled with opportunities to ‘connect’ with others, many young people are feeling disconnected. We have a deep value at The Father’s House, that we as individuals we were never created to ‘do life’ alone. But rather we were created for community, for relationship. With the support of healthy, supportive relationships we discover who we are as image barriers of God. Launch youth, strives to to partner alongside parents, and create a community where young people, regardless of their interest, backgrounds or beliefs feel connected to God and others.
Launch is a gathering of students who love Jesus and want to hang out with other students who share that same love. We strive to create and ‘judgement free zone’ where young people feel encouraged and celebrated for the uniqueness of who they are while learning to take their faith and apply it to their daily lives.
We hang out, play games, worship, study the Bible and spend time in age and gender-specific tribes where we laugh, grow and build relationships.
- Wednesday Nights at 7:00 pm @ TFH, Launch Youth gathers together for a gathering designed with them in mind. Each week may look slightly different as we intentionally build belonging. Utilizing small groups, worship, teachings, games, and outings our intention each week is to create a space where each and every young person connects with their faith and others. We utilize these service times to allow young people to develop skills through singing, playing instruments, leading small group conversations, serving in the audio and media department that allows them to express themselves and engage in their faith journey.
- Weekend Services: It is our value that we invest in the next generation. We have a special service, designed with middle & high schoolers in mind that takes place every Wednesday evening at 7:00 pm. For Sunday Services we encourage our teenager’s participation and engagement in the adult service as well as in TFHKids. We believe it is vital to the sustainability of one’s faith that we create connection points, multigenerational. We also believe it to be a vital part of our faith to understand serving others and encourage our young people to get involved in areas of ministry. We want our young people engaged in their faith. You may see young people opening doors, serving alongside an usher, running the lights or lyric computers, possibly even teaching in a TFHKids Class under the supervision of adult leaders. We believe this to be important to the formation of their faith. If you or your young person would like to participate in any of the many service areas of TFH please fill out this form (https://www.fathershouse.net/volunteer/) or email Heather Hoover, our connection & Volunteer Coordinator at email@example.com and she will be happy to assist you.
- Special Events: Launch Youth schedules several special events throughout the year. To get up-to-date information on all of those events please check out the TFH App for all upcoming events. Below are links to a few of our annual Youth Events.
4. Local Outreaches: It is a value of ours to not simply “talk the talk” but rather to empower believers to put their faith in action. The
Bible encourages us to ‘be the hands and feet of Christ.’ We can do that multiple ways, one of those is by stepping outside of our
comfort zones and reaching out to our communities with the love of Jesus Christ. there are several missions organizations that TFH
partners with as well as local organizations that you and your young person can get involved in. For more information on those
mission and local organizations please click here.
