The Journey to The Cross

Holy Week is a "season within a season", consisting of Palm Sunday, Holy Monday, Holy Tuesday, and Holy Wednesday, as well as the "Triduum" or "Three Great Days" of Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Holy Saturday. During this season within a season, our journey deeper into the heart of Jesus approaches its crescendo, as we see the Lenten story compressed into a handful days: Jesus is praised on Sunday, ministers to many Monday through Wednesday, gives us the Eucharist and promises the Holy Spirit on Thursday, and is crucified on Friday. Holy Week is the final leg of the journey to the Cross...and beyond!

Good Friday

 Service

This Good Friday we will meditate upon the Seven Last Words of Christ: the seven statements uttered by Jesus on the cross, as recorded by the Gospel writers. In these seven statements, we hear Jesus intercede for the world, offer forgiveness to the good thief, provide for his mother, Mary, and, ultimately, hear as "he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross" (Philippians 2:8)

March 29th - 6:30pm

The angel said to the women, 'Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said.’ - Matthew 28:5-6

As the sun rises over our city join us outside for worship as we celebrate that Christ has indeed risen! Breakfast will be served directly after.
